When the garden is the teacher every child gets ground.ed
Every Australian child should have access to a garden where they can spend time connecting with nature and calming their nervous system.
Children’s Garden Design
Ground.Ed can help you plan and/or design a sensory garden scape for the children accessing your space. Have a community grant or thinking about applying for one? We work with individuals, schools, local councils and community gardens to make unique natural learning, or therapeutic habitats for children of all abilities.
NDIS Support
Ground.Ed provides support work for children and young people living in Southern Tasmania. Our supports are provided through a lens of therapeutic horticulture. As a qualified Teacher, Brooke brings a sound understanding of child development and wholistic natural learning approach to support provision.
Programs and Events
Our programs can be streamlined to your intended learning outcomes or curated to allow unscripted garden exploration. We offer school holiday programs which differ each season and are happy to work with you to plan one off events or workshops. Whether you are an individual parent, educator or community group, we have some gardening goodness to offer you and the children in your life.
Have you heard of Therapeutic Horticulture?
Therapeutic Horticulture is the practice of using gardening as a tool to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing. It has been proven to improve mood, enhance calm and focus and even assist with regulating sleep.
